IRCS UB will host the International Collaborative Student Community Service (KKN) program this year. The activity, scheduled in June – August 2022, will be located in Pronojiwo District, Lumajang Regency, and Poncokusumo District, Malang Regency. The collaboration between UB, UGM, and ITB is a partnership of Enabling Humanitarian Attributes for Nurturing Community-based Engineering (ENHANCE). ENHANCE is a collaborative activity related to “Humanitarian Engineering”. One of the objectives the UGM Directorate of Community Service on Thursday (21/4) to visit IRCS UB is to discuss the plan for this program.

ENHANCE consists of universities from several countries in Europe and Asia, coordinated by the University of Warwick (UoW) in the United Kingdom and are members of the Erasmus (European Commission) management. Head of IRCS UB Prof. Luchman Hakim, who received the visit, stated the need for a project model. “How do we involve across faculties to spectacularly attract a form of recreation area as well as a media for sharpening knowledge,” he said.

Student Community Service at Brawijaya University is compulsory, integrated under the IRCS UB Service Center, namely Student Community Service (KKN). This is different from the previous years. In implementing the KKN program, LPPM UB coordinates with Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs along with her expert staff, and Vice Deans for Academic Affairs. Not only International Collaborative Community Service Program, but IRCS UB also offers Thematic Community Service Program, Mutual Cooperation, East Java Regional Collaboration, National Collaboration, and Nationality.
