One way to improve the service quality of IRCS UB is to collaborate with external institutions and empower links between stakeholders. On Tuesday, April 12th, 2022, The Centre of Research and Community Service – Electronic Engineering Polytechnic Institute of Surabaya (P3M PENS) conducted a comparative study to IRCS UB. The visit was to increase the capacity of P3M PENS management directed by the Head of P3M PENS, Dr. Mike Yuliana, ST., MT.

In his remarks, Dodi Wirawan Irawanto, SE., M.Com., Ph.D. The Secretary of LPPM conveyed an outline of the management of research and community service activities at Universitas Brawijaya which has entered the transition period from Public Service Agency (BLU) to State Universities with Legal Entities (PTNBH). Dodi, a lecturer in Economics and Business Faculty, revealed that research funding at IRCS UB is extraordinary and always increases every year. “We have several excellent schemes, including the Junior Research Grant (HPP) with funds of 15 million to 30 million per title, The Leading Research Grant (HPU) with the prepared funds of 75 million to 250 million per title. For our service activities, there is a Doctor in Service (DM) scheme. DM as one of UB’s flagship programs, make IRCS UB invited to LPDP for a similar program proposal,” said him.

Concerning journal management in UB, Dr. Sc. Asep Awaludin P., S.Pi, MP as the Head of IRCS Research Center said that UB has 80 journals. “Four of them are managed by IRCS UB. Meanwhile, in each faculty there is a Journal Management Agency (BPJ) which focuses on managing journals,” explained the lecturer at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences who is also the editor of one of the journals managed by IRCS UB.
