Singosari, 28 May 2024 – The Directorate of Research and Community Service (DRPM) at Universitas Brawijaya (UB), together with the government and community of Singosari District, held an important meeting today at the Singosari District Office. The purpose of this event was to outline strategic steps for implementing UB Student Village Development (MMD) activities in 2024 in the region. These activities were scheduled to take place from July to August.
Various participants from different backgrounds attended the meeting to coordinate permits, discuss programs, and identify the regional potential that could be optimized for the implementation of MMD 2024.
During the event, several prominent figures made significant contributions. Among them, the Head of the UB Community Service Center (DRPM), Yusron Sugiarto, STP., MP., M.Sc., PhD, highlighted the key role of students in village development and emphasized the need for synergy between the university and the community. In addition, the Head of Singosari Subdistrict, Agus Nuraji, S.Sos, M.AP., provided insights from the local government’s perspective and stressed the importance of collaboration between universities, government, and the community in achieving common goals and tapping into Singosari Subdistrict’s potential. Furthermore, the Director of DRPM UB, Prof. Luchman Hakim, S.Si., M.Agr.Sc., Ph.D., outlined the strategy for implementing the 2024 MMD KKN, while materials related to the 2024 MMD KKN program were presented by Bayu Adi Kusuma S.P., MBA., who offered an overview of the planned activities for the program.
The meeting also welcomed participants from various circles, including 14 village heads, three village chiefs, Singosari cultural figures, MMD KKN field supervisors, and MMD village student coordinators. This diversity was considered a significant asset in building solid and inclusive cooperation.
This coordination marked a crucial first step in ensuring the success of MMD 2024, one of the initiatives to be performed in the Singosari District. With a spirit of collaboration and shared commitment, this program will have a significant, positive impact on village development and the welfare of local communities.
