On Wednesday (5/10) Secretary of IRCS UB, Dodi Wirawan Irawanto, SE., M.Com., Ph.D. explored cooperation in sending students through student community service and Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) or Freedom to Learn-Independent Campus program with the Center for Training and Empowerment of Village Communities, Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration (BBPPM) Yogyakarta.  The collaboration will be followed up with the signing of the Cooperation Agreement on Oct 14th, 2022.

“The synergy between the educational institution and government in MBKM program in the future is important to the success of various policies related to empowering the rural community, disadvantaged areas, and transmigrations,” said Dodi in his speech. This synergy was welcomed by the Director of BBPPM Yogyakarta, Dr. Ir. Widarjanto, MM. He supported and welcomed the initiative of UB in fostering various possibilities of collaboration related to students and lecturers.

The initial activity was to conduct research related to ASN and IKN in the Leading Research Grant of IRCS UB. Further, they provided insight for a functional civil servant in BBPPM Yogyakarta, which was very inspiring. The materials were “Work Team Management” presented by Prof. Margono Setiawan, a professor at the Faculty of Economics & Business, and  “Work from Anywhere (WFA) Perspectives” delivered by Lutfi Fanani, S.Kom., MT. The two materials were useful for civil servants in performing their duties.
