Study Centers are groups of researchers who are institutionalized as role-models in carrying out frontline research activities that are internationally appreciated and relevant to national needs. As an example, the Study Center needs to produce comprehensive problem solving through an interdisciplinary approach, so that the study center is actually born from the collaboration of a number of study groups from various Faculties.
The management of the Study Center is regulated in the Rector Regulation Number 56 of 2022. The Study Center is under the coordination of the LPPM Research Center. 3. Maize Research Center
Maize Research Center of Universitas Brawijaya plays an active role in the development of education, research and community service, with the mission of conducting comprehensive interdisciplinary maize research from on farm to off farm and innovative oriented to improve its competitiveness as well as conducting research that is educational and entrepreneurial with output-outcome that are utilized by the community.

6. Center for Anti-Corruption Studies
Center for Anti-Corruption Studies (PKAK) of Universitas Brawijaya plays an active role in becoming an institution that cares and plays an active role in the development of knowledge that can provide solutions and contributions to the problem of corruption in Indonesia locally and globally.
7. Center for Civilization Studies
Center for Civilization Studies of Universitas Brawijaya has a scope of study and research on the theme of civilization, namely the creation, creation and work of the peaks of civilization in Nusantara and the world. Research centers are required to play an active role in the nation and state as well as play an active role in the development of world cultural civilization based on issues of diversity and humanity.
Center for Gender Studies (PSG) of Universitas Brawijaya aims to develop Gender Studies knowledge including Women’s Studies and research capabilities in the realm of applied science and technology with gender sensitivity and responsiveness to women’s gender issues, to succeed in development towards the achievement of a just, prosperous, safe, peaceful, prosperous, equitable, and gender-equal society where women are human beings with dignity..
11. Center for Biosystem Studies
Center of Biosystem Study of Universitas Brawijaya integrates various fields of basic science and applied science. To answer the complexity of biological systems (biosystem), the Center of Biosystem Study uses several approaches, namely: Bioinformatics, Genomics, Proteomics and Molecular Biology.

Implementing good cooperate governance with the aim of creating an independent, quality, transparent, accountable and responsible organization to control the process of activities carried out by PSLH.

Center for Coastal and Marine Studies (PSPK) of Universitas Brawijaya has the main task of coordinating and optimizing the activities and contributions of the UB academic community in the development and application of science and technology to support the wise and sustainable use and management of coastal and marine areas and resources.

17. Center of Criminal Justice System Research Development Study (PERSADA)
Scope of the field of studies:

- Every year Persada researchers conduct interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research related to the criminal justice system.
- Cooperation with various parties, namely: Malang Police, Attorney General’s Office, KPK, NGOs (WCC: Dian Mutiara) etc.

20. The Portsmouth-Brawijaya Centre for Global Health, Population and Policy
Scope of the field of studies:

- Awarding research scholarships to at least one doctoral student from Universitas Brawijaya to UoP each year. In 2016, the executive secretary of the Portsmouth-Brawijaya Centre was accepted as a doctoral student in Global Health and Social Work at UoP on a cooperative research scholarship funded by the government of the United Kingdom.
- Global Challenge Research Fund (GCRF) collaboration on Interdisciplinary Research Hubs to Address Intractable Challenges Faced by Developing Countries with some countries such as UK, India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Myanmar, Cambodia, South Africa, Kenya, Bangladesh, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Hong Kong, China and Malaysia.
- Cooperation of British Council Newton Fund Institutional Link Award, is a funding collaboration provided by the British Council to the University of Portsmouth and Universitas Brawijaya. This cooperation includes research collaboration with organizations and institutions in Indonesia, developing research programs related to the economic-social impact of women’s migration on the families left behind and developing training programs on qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Procurement of the international conference South-East Asia Conference on Population and Health organized by Universitas Brawijaya, University of Portsmouth, and Indonesia’s National Population and Family Planning Agency in 2018.
21. Center for Degenerative Disease Studies
Degenerative diseases are chronic diseases that affect the quality of life and productivity of a person. Degenerative diseases that are commonly found in geriatric patients are cardiovascular disease (IMA), infection, Diabetes Mellitus (DM), joint and bone disease (osteoarthritis), stroke (CVA), neurological disorders (Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s), cancer (prostate, cervix), chronic obstructive diseases, digestive disorders (gastritis), and eyes (cataract, glaucoma, ARMD).
Scope of the field of studies:

- Increase the implementation of research directed at the study of degenerative diseases which includes the study groups of atherothrombosis, herbal medicine, and Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA).
- Provide educational and research facilities and develop facilities for community service.

Scope of the field of studies:

- Center for Smart Molecule of Natural Genetics Resource Studies (SMONAGENES) aims to create an integrated, efficient, effective and open research management system with a clear vision and mission that includes increasing scientific publications, patents on research products, cooperation with outside parties, national and international, and appropriate marketing management, competitive and high competitiveness.
- Center for Smart Molecule of Natural Genetics Resource Studies (SMONAGENES) is active in community service that drives village community empowerment as a Food Independent Village, school education and training for teachers and students in the enrichment of natural science materials.
- Research cooperation established by the SMONAGENES Study Center in various fields including the field of Molecular Developmental Biology with Hiroshima University, Japan, the field of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry and joint mentoring in research conducted with Suranaree University of Technology, Thailand, cooperation in the field of Animal Genetic and Meabolic Disease conducted together with Niigata University, the field of Biological Science, Bioinformatics and Biomedical Science conducted with Massey University, New Zealand, The University of Auckland, New Zealand and Ritsumeikan University.
- Research collaboration Joint publications in reputable international journals have been established by the UB SMONAGENES Study Center both at national and international levels.
