In managing Research and Community Service (RCS) activities, the Institute for Research and Community Service, Universitas Brawijaya (IRCS UB) is required to present a visual representation of research and community service through a graphic. This is to show accurate information about numbers, achievements, and outcomes that inform the achievement of the program with an informative and attractive display. On Tuesday (9/4) LPPM UB held “2021 Infographics Training in Institute for Research and Community Service, Universitas Brawijaya” in the Joint Service Building, 6th Floor.
“The Data Speaks the Truth” explained the Secretary of LPPM UB, Dodi Wirawan Irawanto, SE., M.Com., Ph.D. when opening this event. Hopefully, this training can facilitate the participants to fulfill their internal data needs, by first processing the data into accurate and informative data. This training is carried out for IRCS UB human resources, with their particular main duties, to be able to support the speed of delivering information related to research, service, and cooperation.
Furthermore, one of the presenters as the Vice Director of BITS UB, Adharul Muttaqin, ST., MT explained, the speed of fulfilling data requests can be supported by the staff’s regularity in inputting excel data information. Then, the data can be processed on demand with the specified variables. In the second session, Gema Adha Hermanenda, S.Kom., delivered material related to graphic visualization enhancement by paying attention to the aesthetic conception.
As a closing, Head of IRCS UB Research Division, Dr. Sc. Asep Awaludin Prihanto, S.Pi., MP, said that each participant could apply various stages in delivering data visualization in their daily work routines. So that when the data is requested, LPPM is ready to process and deliver the infographic data. Therefore, the Research and Community Service information through the IRCS UB website is very important in supporting the university’s transparency.
