Malang 8 June 2024 – On Saturday, June 8, 2024, a Cooperation Agreement was signed between Klino Village, Bojonegoro Regency, and Brawijaya University at the Joint Office of the Directorate of Research and Community Service (DRPM) Brawijaya University. This agreement marks a significant step in the efforts to develop Klino Village as a planned and sustainable tourist destination. The signing event was attended by key stakeholders, including Prof. Luchman Hakim-the Director of Research and Community Service, Mrs. Dwi Nurjayanti-the Head of Klino Village, the representative from Bappeda Bojonegoro Regency, the Head of Sekar District, and representatives from the NGO Bojonegoro Institute and Ademos Indonesia.
The Cooperation Agreement is a result of the MMD 1000 Villages program organized by the Community Service Center of Brawijaya University, which aims to empower villages in Indonesia through various community development and empowerment programs.
Recognizing the potential of Klino Village, the team from the Center for Tourism Studies (PUSPAR) Universitas Brawijaya, led by Edriana Pangestuti, S.E., M.Sc., DBA., is dedicated to assisting in the preparation of a master plan for Klino Tourism Village. This master plan is expected to guide the sustainable development of the village, improve its communities’ welfare, and strengthen its local tourism potential.
In his speech, Prof. Luchman Hakim stated, “This collaboration demonstrates our commitment to supporting the development of villages in Indonesia. The potential of Klino Village is vast, and with proper planning, it can become one of the leading tourist destinations in Bojonegoro. We hope that this collaboration will bring significant benefits to the people of Klino Village.”
Mrs. Dwi Nurjayanti, Head of Klino Village, expressed her gratitude to Brawijaya University and all parties involved. “This collaboration is the first step towards realizing our vision of making Klino Village a well-known tourist destination. With the guidance and support from Brawijaya University, we are optimistic about achieving this goal,” she said.
This collaboration is not only an important milestone for Klino Village but also an example of the partnership between the academic world and the community in village development and empowerment efforts. With close cooperation and careful planning, Klino Village is expected to develop into an attractive and sustainable tourist destination, showcasing the positive impact of synergy between universities and society in Indonesia’s village development.
