To expand its level of education in opening an applied state finance master’s degree program, on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, STAN-State Finance Polytechnic (PKN STAN) conducted a comparative study to the Institute for Research and Community Service Universitas Brawijaya (IRCS UB).
On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Sc. Asep Awaludin P., S.Pi, MP as the Head of IRCS UB Research Center, explained the achievements, facilities, and campus life of Universitas Brawijaya. Furthermore, he also explained the performance of research and community service managed by IRCS UB. Several research grant schemes funded by UB’s PNBP are Junior Research Grants (HPP), Leading Research Grants (HPU), Leading Research Development Grants (HAPPU), and International Cooperation Research Grants (HAPKI). “For the performance of community service, we have a Ph.D. Lecturer in Service (DM) grant,” explained the lecturer of FPIK UB. Prof. Asep presented the Research and Community Service Information System of Universitas Brawijaya (SIPP). It facilitates all management activities for research and community service. “This year IRCS UB focus on local wisdom of the biosphere. The biosphere was appointed because in the East Java region there are many sites such as Semeru and Bromo Tengger, which in the future, we will optimize as the Center of Excellence, “he said.
The visit from PKN STAN was led by Budi Waluyo Ph. D as Deputy Director for Student Affairs. Budi Waluyo asked how to improve the quality and quantity of research, and service at LPPM UB. Responding to the question, Prof. Asep explained that IRCS UB often organizes training. Soon, we hold internal certified reviewer training.
