Research collaboration by national researchers is a demand in order to make research more comprehensive, and is expected to be able to encourage and empower collaboration with foreign researchers in an equal, balanced, and contributive position.

The Indonesian Collaborative Research Program (PPKI) 2021 is a program for 12 Legal Entity Universities (PTNBH) to collaborate in conducting research programs as the effort to build and expand research collaboration networks between universities. Universitas Brawijaya as a university that in the transition from BLU to PTNBH has joined and participated in this program.

On Saturday (4/9) the Institute for Research and Community Service, Universitas Brawijaya, hosted the monitoring and evaluation of the 2021 PPKI progress report.  56 main researchers and partners joined this event to present the progress of research to 2 reviewers in their expertise.

When opening this event, the Vice Rector for Planning and Cooperation Universitas Brawijaya, Prof. Dr. Ir. Moch. Sasmito Djati, MS, conveyed his response to PPKI “We are very interested in the term collaboration which is the key to all keys in this pandemic era, how we compete and be friendly, especially in the research field”. He hopes that in this review process, the research progress can be achieved based on the determined targets and plans.

Referring to the direction of the Dean of the ITB Postgraduate School, Prof. Suprijadi, M.Eng, PPKI is expected to increase in terms of internationalization and the impact given to the community.
