Socialization of Kemenristekdikti 12th Edition of Research and Community Service Guideline

As the effort to improve the quality and quantity of research and community services to be certifiable and relevant to the need of national development based on Kemenritekdikti (Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education) guideline, Institute of Research and Community Services – University of Brawijaya (LPPM UB) held “Socialization of Kemenristekdikti 12th Edition of Research and Community Service Guideline” on Thursday, May 31st, 2018.

In opening the socialization, Head of LPPM UB, Dr. Bambang Susilo, asked the participants to notice output-based regulation and schemes in the new guideline. He added that they do not have to worry about the funding reduction from Kemenristekdikti since the New Rector put down the program of professor and associate professor acceleration. Hopefully, the grant from internal university funding (PNBP) would be greater next year.

The materials presented in this socialization were 1) The Explanation or Community Service Program by Dr. Bambang Dwi Argo, 2) Decentralization Research by Dr. Maftuch, and 3) National Competitive and Project Research by Sugiono, Ph.D., based on the 12th Guideline Edition. The latest edition has significant substantial changes if compared with the 11th Edition. The changes are the schemes decrease, the grouping, selection stage, and characteristic of research and community service, the regulation design for compulsory and additional output, and etc. Overall the research and community service schemes have changed into 3 categories, namely National Competitive, Decentralization and Project.

Hopefully, the socialization could effectively guide the lecturers to participate in research and community service grant hold by Kemenristekdikti.
