Once again, Institute of Research and Community Services – University of Brawijaya (LPPM UB) received a comparative study for increasing the synergy between universities. On November 6th, 2017, Institute of Research and Community Services – Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “VETERAN” Yogyakarta (LP2M UPNVY) explored research and community service collaboration with LPPM UB.

As explained by Head of LPPM UB, Prof. Woro Busono, the synergy between universities in research and community services is preferred as complementary excellence and potency each university by noticing territorial aspect.  One of the programs that needs the synergy is a mentoring in managing and developing Village-owned business entities facilitated by Ministry of Village, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration of Republic of Indonesia. Ministry of Village, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration of Republic of Indonesia, through the university forum for village, supports the collaboration between universities in community services to explore the local potency by developing village economy based on culture. Besides, LPPM UB also has Doktor Mengabdi and Sekolah Desa to be developed together in the form of mentoring and Training of Trainer. For research publication, LPPM UB has a journal clinic to help academician to publish their articles in Scopus indexed journals.

LP2M UPNVY was excited to have collaboration with LPPM UB, especially in the explained programs. For following it up, there was an MOU drafting between LPPM UB and LP2M UPNVY. Hopefully, there would be a good research and community service collaboration.
