Workshop on How to Fill TRL and Socialization of the XI Edition of Guidebook for Research and Community Services Year 2017

In his role as a supporting institution for lecturers’ main activity in transforming, developing, and disseminating knowledge, technology, and art trough research and community services, Institute of Research and Community Services – University of Brawijaya (LPPM UB) should socialize the updated regulation related to research and community services in higher education. Therefore, On Tuesday, June 6th, 2017, at UB Guest House, LPPM UB held “Workshop and Socialization of the XI Edition of Guidebook for Research and Community Services Year 2017 published by DRPM Kemenristekdikti, How to Fill TRL and Understanding the Work of Reviewer so that Proposal Could Be Funded”
The event was opened by the briefing from Head of LPPM UB, Prof Woro Busono. He stated some important points in XI Edition of the Guidebook. It contains the explanation of every scheme in the research and community service program. It clearly explains the procedure of submitting, proposal selection, monitoring and evaluation, and reporting the outcomes. Compared to the X edition, the accommodated changes were the classification of research scheme and the draft regulation for added output. In the XI edition is definitely emphasized the obligation of researchers in gaining outputs related to the proposed scheme as stated on PMK 106/PMK.02/2016: the output cost is separated from the research funding itself, both of them cannot be separated.
The three main important materials presented in this event were: 1) Socialization of the XI Edition of Guidebook for Research and Community Services Year 2017 published by DRPM Kemenristekdikti, presented by Head of Research Division of LPPM UB, Widodo, PhD; 2) Workshop on How to Fill Technology Readiness Level (TRL) by a Brawijaya University expert researcher, Dr. Akhmad Sabarudin and 3) Understanding the Work of Reviewer so that Proposal Could Be Funded by a national reviewer, Dr. Sucik Maylinda.
Hopefully, from the activity of research and community services, lecturers could give high-quality outputs in supporting their career and the capacity of Brawijaya University.
